About the Recipe

Ciao, pasta lovers! Today, we're rolling up our sleeves and diving into the delicious world of homemade spaghetti and meatballs. At Kastle Catering, we believe that good food brings people together, and what better way to bond than over a hearty plate of perfectly crafted pasta and savory meatballs? So, grab your apron and let's get cooking in the Kastle Kitchen!

The first step in creating the perfect plate of spaghetti and meatballs is, of course, the meatballs themselves. To prepare the meatballs, combine 1 lb. ground beef with 1/3 cup bread crumbs, 1/4 cup finely chopped parsley, 1/4 cup freshly grated Parmesan, 1 egg, 2 minced garlic cloves, and a pinch of kosher salt and red pepper flakes. Shape this flavorful mixture into perfect spheres, and then gently brown them in a skillet before allowing them to simmer in a rich, homemade marinara sauce.

As the aroma of freshly cooked meatballs and simmering sauce fills the air, it's time to prepare the spaghetti. Cook the 1 lb. of spaghetti according to the package instructions until it reaches al dente perfection. While the spaghetti cooks, prepare the marinara sauce by sautéing 1/2 cup of finely chopped onion in 2 tablespoons of extra-virgin olive oil. Once the onion is soft and translucent, add 1 can (28 oz.) of crushed tomatoes, 1 bay leaf, and season with kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper. Let the sauce simmer for about 20 minutes to allow the flavors to meld together.

Once the spaghetti is ready, plate it and top it with the mouthwatering meatballs and marinara sauce. Finish off the dish with a sprinkle of freshly grated Parmesan cheese, and perhaps a few sprigs of parsley for a pop of color.

Now, grab a fork and get ready to twirl! Each bite of this spaghetti and meatballs is a celebration of homemade goodness and the joy of sharing food with those you love. The combination of the tender meatballs, flavorful marinara sauce, and perfectly cooked spaghetti is sure to create lasting memories around the dinner table.

So, whether you're cooking for a crowd or simply treating yourself to a special meal, remember that spaghetti and meatballs are always a winning choice. And if you'd rather leave the cooking to the experts, Kastle Catering is here to bring the taste of homemade Italian cuisine to your next event. Buon appetito!
